Philosophy
My thoughts on faith, business and life. The principles that guide the way I build.
Faith comes first
Before everything, it's vital that I attribute whatever level of success I've reached to God. There are too many factors at play for my life to have gone the way it has, and the same is true for every single person. I'm a true believer that everything good that has come my way is a blessing, and everything "bad" has been a blessing too.
Representation matters
I identify as a Muslim, British man, and what pushed me to build a personal brand is a niche: business-minded, high-earning Muslim individuals. I may not have reached that second point myself yet, but I'm working towards it, and I pray my journey can inspire others who won't feel compelled to compromise their faith to get there. Instead, they'll feel their imaan increase.
I first set out to build a personal brand and bought my domain in December 2022 with no real purpose, other than to dump my learnings and reflections. Two months later I came across the Muslim, British and highly successful Bengali entrepreneur Shaqir Hussyin, and it struck me: no one I'd been learning entrepreneurship and "success" from actually looked like me.
Building with purpose
My approach to business is rooted in the belief that technology should serve humanity, not replace human connection. Every product I build, every company I start, and every decision I make is filtered through one lens: does this bring genuine value to people's lives?
With Solah, I'm not just building an app. I'm building a tool that helps people align their daily routines with their spiritual practice and overall wellbeing. It's about finding balance in a world that often prioritises productivity over peace.
The best products are built by people who understand the problem deeply, because they've lived it themselves.
Work-life integration
I don't believe in work-life balance. I believe in work-life integration. When your work aligns with your values and serves a higher purpose, the line between "work" and "life" blurs. My five daily prayers aren't interruptions to the workday; they're the rhythm that structures it.
Success isn't just financial metrics or business growth. It's meaningful impact, strong relationships, staying connected to your faith, and leaving the world a little better than you found it.
Looking ahead
My goal isn't just to build successful companies. It's to inspire a new generation of Muslim entrepreneurs who see their faith as a strength, not a limitation. I want to show that you can be deeply religious and wildly successful in business, that these aren't mutually exclusive paths.
Whether through Solah, Vision Reality, Taqwa Studios, or whatever comes next, I'm committed to building products and companies that reflect Islamic values: justice, compassion, excellence, and service to others.
These are the principles that guide everything I do. If they resonate with you, I'd love to connect and hear about your journey.
